This Friday, we get together at the cozy Pit Caribou Pub, at 951, Rachel Street East. We’ll be there starting at 5 p.m. to enjoy a drink, meet new people and mix and mingle in a friendly atmosphere. Note: Pit Caribou does not accept bookings! Tables are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so arrive early! 😉
Ask to speak with Maryse if you have any questions! You can find us by looking for a small owl on one of the tables (most likely at the back of the bar).
No registration is required to participate to the happy hour.
If the weather is nice and warm, we will have dinner in Lafontaine Park. You can bring your meal or buy it at a restaurant or grocery store nearby!

Seeing the enthusiasm you showed by responding quickly and positively to the survey, the reservation was made for the weekend of September 6 to 8, 2019.
Located on the the Ottawa River and part of Ontario Parks, Camping Voyageur is located at only 1 hour west of Montreal, at Chute-à-Boileau, a few kilometres from the Quebec-Ontario border. Like last year, the campsite is rustic, there are only dry toilets, water taps and picnic tables on site. The showers and toilets are available at regular campsites. Our camping site is 503 and can accommodate up to 100 people so feel free to tell your friends about this activity. Pets are also allowed as long as they are on leash all the time.
$35 for 2 nights per person including the campground reservation, cars and the fire wood. You will have to pay this amount via INTERACT e-transfer to: firstname.lastname@example.org or at the Chouettes Happy Hour in cash or by check. A reimbursement of a few dollars might be possible if we are more participants than planned.
At your choice: Swimming in the river, beach, bike, canoeing, kayaking (rent on the spot), hiking, fishing, discovery activities, etc. There might be an additional cost for some activities. Please check the Voyageur campsite website for information about these activities: http://www.ontarioparks.com/park/voyageur.
Departure is planned on Friday September 6, in the early afternoon (for those who can). The camping site will be available at 2 pm. For those who need a lift, the organizer will establish a first contact by e-mail between each driver and her passengers. The passengers will then have to communicate with their driver to be informed about the place and exact departure time.
You must bring your own food for 4-6 meals (depending on your arrival time on Friday an departure on Sunday), 2 breakfasts, 1-2 lunches and 1-2 dinners. For Saturday night, we will have a potluck diner. Please bring your main dish and one portion to share: salad, chips, vegetable or others. Please label your dishes to prevent problems related to food intolerances and allergies.
The registration deadline is on September 3 or when we reach 100 participants. Your registration is only valid when the payment is completed and received by the organizer. We accept your payment as soon as the registration period starts. There won’t be any refund in case of cancellation unless someone else can replace you.
Please send your payments as soon as possible. Thank you!
The payment must be completed no later than September 3!
When you register, please indicate if you need a lift or if you can offer lifts (and how many). To facilitate the carpooling, please indicate which metro is closest to you and at what time you are able to leave. We cannot however guarantee that a lift will be offered close to where you are. The cost of gas is to be shared between the passengers.
